Favorite car I owned (don't remember the year, but OLD) was a Karmen Ghia

Nice VW. My neighbor has one. Also ownes an import repair shop.

Re chrome, talking about looking over the top of a windshield look at this car> 1952 MG TD roadster I used to do wheel alignments for the local dealer and I am/was 6'4". I had to bend down to look through the windshield. Getting in and out was a little tricky.

my best car was a 1978 AMC Pacer. Yup. Drove it for 11 years, then bought an identical one (same year, same color, lower mileage), used, for $600 and drove that one for another couple of years, using the first one for parts.

Lil, you are my kind of person. Even though, at the time I did not like that model (worked on trade in's at the dealership) of car because Chevys were easier to repair and were more durable, the car design made sence and driving it for as long as you did, earns points in my book. Lots of them Lil. 3 points plus for Lil for not needing a car to boost her ego.

The thing I disliked the most about being around car salesmen and customers, was when the salesman said to the customer, "You look good sitting in that car/truck." Well to me the customer looked good with or without the vehicle. I know it was just "sales talk" but after you hear it so many times, it takes on another meaning.

I had friends with sporty looking cars and they were worried someone might take something from car or chip the paint. I usually liked plain looking "sleepers" so I did not draw attention. I kept tools in my car and did not want them stolden. Mainly, I liked durability so I drove mostly low priced Chevrolets.

My next car is going to be a 1985 Plymouth Voyager, 4 cilinder, 5-speed transmission, Air conditioned, power steering, amd a medium priced radio. (can I say cup holders? or is that too dorky?) I am looking at 27 mles per gallon????

Another van I would like to have is > Citroen H Van< because it was a pioneer vehicle, built when people had little money and lots of work to do after WWII.

She also said I need to find a woman 20 years younger

BB had more age related complaints. Mostly tired, so I asked if i should help her find a room at a retirement home, all with a smile on my face (detached) so she knew I was giving her a hard time and joking. Then I went to the store for bike tires.
