Congratulations on the raise. I work for the government, too, and my W never thinks I make enough money. She keeps asking me to go and get side jobs, all the while demanding that I spend every possible waking hour at home painting the basement, etc.
What a pain, your W! You could have just not reported the income (to her, not the IRS) and bought any number of love toys. But no, you, ever faithful husband you are, donated your raise to the family coffers.
