Your wife's comment would be hilarious if it weren't so pathetic. To wit: you're happy about something good that happened to you. She's (as usual) tired from her enormously stressful day/week/life. So she gets mad because you don't shove your good mood to the back burner and get down in the dumps with her. <shaking head>
But that doesn't change the indisputable fact that you are one cool dude! I say put together a party of people to go out to celebrate and don't invite her: "I know you're tired, honey, so I won't ask you to get up and get dressed and go out. I've invited several other people, so don't worry that I won't have a good time." Sorry... my fantasy engine is working overtime these days...
