Hairdog,
Sounds like she is definitely detaching/escaping from the M. My H is obsessed with music on a good day but when we are having R problems he is immersed in it. Downloading all day on the computer. Playing with full-size iPod and iPod Shuffle (yes, he has both). Burning discs. Reading music related material. You get the idea. A fairly healthy escape, he could be out chasing women No, that has never been his style Even when we were separated he avoided ow, just stuck to music full force. I, on the other hand, did not have healthy outlet for my escapism and thus, turned to others (men particularly). Not as healthy for sure. I guess it could be worse than your W's iPod.

Ummmm Hairdoggie....not to state the obvious here, but have you said that to her? (as I said earlier, I just thought it would be nice if she would make time for me once in awhile. She's shown that she can do that for something which is important to her.)

Over the past several months there have been times I've had to point out to my H that he does make time for the things he views as important.....and THAT is why I feel unimportant. Well, felt unimportant at the time.

Hey! I was already to riled up when I saw the list of "poor me" love songs you put together. That stuff is bad for you.

I admit that the songs were "poor me" songs.

Oh, I forgot to mention. The sister of the groom was a lesbian for 20 years, but recently met a guy who magically transformed her into a flaming heterosexual. Now how do you 'splain that one?

Hey, one of my favorite singers is Melissa Etheridge. Don't flame me.

Haha...just saw that Melissa Etheridge post...I like her music too...wonder what that means. I have never been with a woman, but the only porn that has ever interested me is with 2 women. Anyway, she is coming out with a best hits cd next month.

You were not asking me but I am chimming in her HD.

Don't know if I would call it a pattern. But like your wife I prefer woman singers. Pull out Janice add Cher and Pat Benatar you got my list. I do like some C&W mainly female with a little Garth and Toby Keith added in.
And I dislike jazz and all musicals with the exception of Grease I find that one amusing. Though I could probabaly recant every song from the musical Peter Pan since my S10 watched it repeatedly as a toddler. lol

And alot of those female singers on that list do have a common trait.

Hope you are having a wonderful day

Dear Harry,

Just a thought, but have you thought of getting your own ipod or a cheap knockoff and joining her in her newfound enthusiasm? You sound like you have varied musical interests and could learn to enjoy having one.

Sometimes we have to go out of our way to put ourselves in the path of those we love.

Hey CN...I think Ipod recognized that they had some battery problems with the first gen Ipod, but I've heard that they fixed that later on. In fact, they settled a big class action suit about the batteries. Check it out.
