Here's my updates: Went to bingo last night with X's sister. She's got her own love life problems that we discussed. She asked if I thought her sister and I would ever be back together and I told her "I'd like to". She doesn't have deep talks with her sister so I'm not all that concerned about her telling her anything.
After that I went home and made myself something to eat. It wasn't very long before X called. I take this as a positive...this time there wasn't a reason. She asked what I was doing, said she was going for icecream, and asked if I wanted her to swing by and get me.
We had a nice discussion of stuff in the yard for a bit then ran for icecream, basically talking the entire time. We mainly focused on her daughter's difficulties with school. I was annoyed how "no child left behind" in her case seemed to mean "we'll move you to the next grade whether you are learning at the same pace as your peers or not". We didn't discuss what I told her the night before or touch on us at all. I think it is a positive that she didn't go into hiding. I also got another chance to get some QT with her.
That's all for now. I'm keeping my little song snippet in mind because of the important key words..."No rush", "I won't rush your heart until you feel on solid ground, until your strength is found".
