Thx for the advice, W & G.

I should probably explain a little more of the conundrum!

My budget is very tight right now and has been w/o any summer employment, but now that school is in session - I have a part time job available close to home. That will allow me to meet expenses easier and maybe even sock some away for next summer (or whenever)

I do not have enough $$ to play with to pay a daycare upfront and the cost of gas (at best, that's going to run me $200+ this next month) to get back and forth to work on a handshake.

And that's what bothers me; this guy is the owner of a small company, couldn't wait to strike this deal w/me by shaking my hand. Then I find out that's how he worked it w/the service. They went out to find me on his word and a handshake! And he did make a little 'quip' about never being late on his employee's paychecks 'YET'! They are all foreigners that work there (nothing against that, but I'll be the outsider and expendable!)

Actually, tho, I'm not worrying about it too much. After he called me and said that we don't have a deal until I get them off his back - I knew that was wrong. I will straighten it out Tuesday morning by removing myself from the middle of the sitch. And let him make up his mind from there.

Hey all!!! MICHIGAN WON yesterday 33-17!!!!
My voice was a little scratchy last nite, I will probably lose it after the next few games!

Don't want to make too big of a deal out of this yet, but thought I would post ex's email for the week. (here I was upset that he hadn't called for s9's first day of school - he didn't know when he started!)

..... hi there hope you had a nice week there. it been very busy week. im glad it is the week end

'ex'

And a phone call, but due to other circumstances right now I'm semi gray and didn't take it!

Absolutely NO expectations!

T - hope you can get the job thing worked out. That really sucks. I'm glad you're finally seeing some communication from XH. Must be working! I've got my fingers crossed for you!

T,

Where are you? Haven't heard boo from you in awhile. Did you get the job stuff figured out? I hope everything is okay. I noticed that Michigan lost this weekend. Is that why you ran away from the board? Do you have your head in a paper bag yet?

Well, just let us know how you are.

W

ok, guess it's time to come back from my solitude!

Michigan lost 17-10

but Iowa lost 23-3
and Ohio State lost 25-22
and Detroit WON!!! 17-3!!!

Of course, now I'm hearing that Favre can't play on an indoor field. AAAWWWWW!!!!

So, I've been quiet a bit as I have just been focusing on having a life. Sorry about that!

The job did not work out and neither have a couple of other opportunities. But, I have realized lately that I did not have my priorities straight. I've been out there fighting for a job opportunity for ME and neglecting my son's needs. I am now focussing on him first and developing a patient attitude on the job issue. (that nasty word again PATIENCE!!) My career will take a back seat for now, as I am looking into other means of income!

I have been keeping up on everyone's threads and will try to pop in and say hi to all today.

And it's not what you think.

Wanted to share a major accomplishment w/all my bb buddies here!

S9 went in the toilet twice so far today!!!

That may not seem like much, but we've been fighting for this for over 6 years!

T,

That's great news.

I know your S has special needs, but I wish D2(soon to be 3) would start acting like she wants to potty like a big girl. Doesn't seem to be a big deal to her yet and I'm not pushing her, other than the occasional question if she'd like to go potty. I don't want to be a toilet Nazi and give her some sort of complex later on in life. I don't think XW is pushing the issue too much, either.

Kevin

What I did with my 3 year old (she was 3 on 2nd July) was just take her clothes off and let her run around the house naked and then if she did a pee, she would notice and eventually she started sitting on a potty of her own accord, that I just placed in the room without mentioning it to her and just let her go to it if she wanted.

She was trained during the day at 20 months old and trained overnight from about 2 and a half.

After all, at that tiny age they don't need clothes, especially if it's warm and it's the quickest way of teaching them.

T - congrats on your son's achievements!

Jo.
