BB, I took the kids to the park for a picnic lunch. That was the extent of my ability since I'm suffering from an ear infection. We've been enjoying fall immensely.

H stayed home to stare at the invisible bulls-eye on the wall.

pigalet (that's the way my D says it), it's nice to hear that kids don't absorb all their parents' bad habits.

D is fine, but S is unraveling. He started first grade this week and is not a kid who transitions easily. H and S both turn into nasty, defiant and uncooperative brutes when faced with significant life changes. Understanding that about them helps me to be more patient.

H has the interview for his job today. His negative thinking has alternated from "I'm going to be fired" to "I'm not qualified to do the work." (He's already doing the job!) I haven't said much.
