Pam - I'm not sure what legal standing your brother would have to file a malpractice suit if W doesn't agree - that's one for the attorneys. He might try going to Al-Anon - it's for the spouses of alcoholics and addicts, might give him some insight into how to deal with her. (BTW, I'm assuming she's had lots of prescriptions for this stuff, not just a small continuing amount or an occasional prescription, right?).
