Jo Take care oy yourself and all of the daughters the best you know how. Taking breaks helps sometimes, but remember we are always here, that is unless we go on break too.
I intended to stay away for longer but I've got so much good news, I just had to tell you!
MY HEALTH: is now good, pain's gone after my aromatherapist friend came round and sorted me out with some remedies. Still have dry skin but working on that with my oils. No more ear ache - YIPPEEE!!!!
MY WORK: Just signed the publishing contract for the 4th edition of my vaccination book and have been working on cover designs My true life story is published and will be widely available in the next couple of weeks and it's been accepted as an e-book by eBooks-Online, which is great! I've been giving loads of business cards out and I've joined the Writer's Bureau School of Journalism, so I'm really excited about that.
MY SITCH: Andy just phoned me and left a message whilst I was struggling up the road with millions of shopping bags, so I let it ring. I phoned him back and asked what he wanted, so he said 'I just wanted to know how you are and how the IVF stuff is going.'
So I told him about the injection side-effect drama and how I found out it was chemotherapy and he said I should sue them for not telling me that beforehand. He then told me tons of things about what he and the girls did on their camping holiday - literally, he was going through the days of the week and telling me each day! Then he asked what I was up to and I told him that tomorrow I am taking DD4 to 'Planet Happy' (children's play centre). He asked who I was going with and I said no one, just me and DD4.
He then told me he has enrolled in a college course to do anatomy and physiology and reflexology, so we got talking about that as I have already done anatomy and physiology when I did my immunology course. I find it a strange coincidence that he's doing that now. I asked him what he was doing with the girls and he said he didn't know, so I said I'd have them while he was in college if it didn't clash with my timetable.
He said wednesday mornings. I said yes but I'd have to take all of them to lunch time, play time with me, which is a bit babyish, but they'd have to put up with it, and then he said Monday mornings. I said no because I'm at First Aid for Babies and Children then, and he said Tuesday evenings. I said yes to the Tuesday evenings.
So from September I get my kids twice a week! I know I wasn't supposed to rescue him but I couldn't resist the opportunity now EX-OW isn't there.
Then at the end of the call, I said 'Is that it or was there a purpose to this call?' (a bit harsh I know) and he said firstly that he wondered if he could have DD4 for the weekend. I said yes. Then he said 'And I wondered when I could see you.' I was so taken aback I said 'What?' So he said 'I wondered if you were available to visit.' I said no, tomorrow I am out for the day with DD4. I said maybe Thursday. He hesitated and didn't sound keen so I said 'and the rest of today, of course.' So he said 'Can we come over at 5, then?' Well, the prospect of having dinner with my entire family was so exciting that I said yes.
Jo, I'm sooooo happy for you!!!! Wow, your D's are going to love being with you more. This is the best part of the news, spending more time with the girls!!!
Really glad you're feeling better too. This news will make me smile all day. Couldn't happen to a more deserving person.
