Having NY answer one of my posts is bitter sweet. Once he says something, there's nothing left for anyone else to say.

I'm a New Yorker, what can I say? Here we even get advice from the taxi drivers.

What I was really looking for was someone to teach me some sort of jedi mind trick to help speed up this process. This patience crap is getting old.

Oh is that what you want? Well, "ask for what you want", buddy! ha ha ha.

The only way you can speed up the process is to have time slow down relatively. One way to do that is to sit through an Ashton Kutcher movie marathon.

I didn't do that, but what I did do was this: every time I recognized I was getting impatient, I said to myself, "She's not on my time schedule, of course. Things haven't sufficiently happened so as to have her reconsider the relationship again, is all. So, more time is needed, because this is going to take just the amount of time it needs to take. If more time is needed, then I just need to cultivate more patience. Cultivating more patience is a good thing anyway, it pays off in other areas of life."

It sounds like you're impatient about patience. That's the thing about patience, it takes patience to cultivate patience.

You can also see if things "speed up" by dropping the rope completely.
