I try not to analyze everything W does but it can't be helped sometimes.

The instruction manual says that can be corrected by going into your auto-analyzer unit located in the upper left side of your brain and pulling the damn wires out.

This morning W shows up at the house (her usual day to take the kids to school) loaded with cookie making equipment that she brought from her place. She even had a bowl of sugar cookie dough. She plans on making Halloween cookies with the kids sometime today. This is great, but why bring it all here to the house? She'll have the kids at her place tomorrow night and Saturday, so why not make the cookies then?

Hmmm. Were her shoes light colored or dark?

I set all kinds of "clues" out in front of her and all she had to do was suggest it and we'd see the movie.

They were obvious clues to you, but not so to her, or she didn't take the bait, or wasn't interested. Again, I ask, were her shoes light or dark colored at that time? I'm trying to find the pattern here.

It looks like she'll gladly spend time with me if it involves the kids. If it requires the two of us being alone she's very reluctant.

Aha! Doesn't matter why she says what she says, why she thinks what she thinks of the movies she's seen, why she's doing stuff at whose house she makes cookies in - you've got the bottom line by the results you see!! That's what counts.

I say, "dark colored" shoes... but what does that mean? ;-)
