Hmmmm. I try not to analyze everything W does but it can't be helped sometimes....

This morning W shows up at the house (her usual day to take the kids to school) loaded with cookie making equipment that she brought from her place. She even had a bowl of sugar cookie dough. She plans on making Halloween cookies with the kids sometime today. This is great, but why bring it all here to the house? She'll have the kids at her place tomorrow night and Saturday, so why not make the cookies then?

I contrast the above behavior with her refusal to "take the bait" on the two of us going to a movie she would like to see. I didn't ask her to go to the movie. I set all kinds of "clues" out in front of her and all she had to do was suggest it and we'd see the movie. It would have looked like it was her idea. She wouldn't pull the trigger. She sadly says she hasn't seen a movie for months. W also commented that the two of us have never seen a "scary/suspense" movie at a theatre together. Well then what was "The Grudge", "The Sixth Sense", "Se7en", "Pet Cemetery", "Graveyard Shift" to name a few over the years? In fact, The Grudge was the last movie we went to together about a year ago. Hmmmmm.

It looks like she'll gladly spend time with me if it involves the kids. If it requires the two of us being alone she's very reluctant.
