The movie was hilarious. I especially liked the waxing scene. XW used to have me wax her in key places. I now wonder if I triggered growing hatred in her by doing so... The film also painted women as aggressive, intimidating - I doubt that's reality, but we shall see... I thought the film did a great job depicting the typical male's struggle to deal with woman, especially on the emotional level. Okay, why again am I facing the dating scene at the overripe age of 38? Oh yes, b/c XW left me.
During my goodnight call to S6, XW was telling him in the background to tell me that they had gone to a grape stomp as an outing. Four uncles on my dad's side grow grapes in CA, and XW knows that I hope to retire to a plot of land and do the same. She and her parents ripped into this dream during the early stages of the S/D, saying it hadn't come true. At the time, I was merely incredulous, thinking 'of course not, cause I've got at least 20 yrs before retiring. Duh!!
