H called again before he got here to let me know he was going to stop at the store and asked if I needed anything. I asked him to get me some lighter fluid (I'm grilling steaks for dinner tonight), and H said, "Sure. No problem." I thanked him and told him I really appreciated it.

Before hanging up, I wanted to know if he had thought about what I asked him (watching the boys for the weekend). H said, "Yeah. I thought about it the minute you asked me, but I didn't get to answer since XXXX called....I'm sorry you feel that you have to ask me to watch the kids, but, well...I'm sorry about that. Yeah, I'll watch them." I said, "Thanks! This means a lot to me! I know how busy you can be, and I really appreciate you doing this."

Then H cleared his throat and asked, "Do you mind if I ask where you're going?" I told him, "Not at all. I'm going with P and J to T's, and we're going to spend the weekend at the beach. We're leaving Friday when J gets off of work, and I'll be back late Sunday night. When's the earliest you can pick them up?" H asked when did I need him to, and I told him that I was hoping to get on the road to J's no later than 3:30pm. H said that was fine, and he could do that.

When H got here, I thanked him again for getting the lighter fluid. We talked for a bit about bills then they were getting ready to head out. H told me that he could even pick the kids up on Thursday night if I'd like. I told H, "Ok, well, that's fine with me, but it's up to you." H said, "Yeah, I can do that." I told him thanks with a nice big , and H said "no problem" with a in return.

S9 and S5 went out to the car (baby was napping so he stayed here). H turned around and told me that Crescent Jewelers called him today to let him know that his wedding band was ready to be picked up (the new one I bought him in May for our anniversary -- H needed a bigger size and it had to be special ordered). H said in a trembling voice, "They called and said it was ready for me to pick up, but I didn't know if I should......Do you want me to get your money back?"

I'm thinking, "Are you crazy???!!! You're not serious, are you???!!!", but I told him, "No, I don't want my money back! Do you not want the ring?" H said, "Yeah I want it! I really like it. I just didn't know how you would feel about it. Do you want -- " I told him, "H, please go get your ring. That's what I want." He let out a little sigh of relief and said ok.....he was happy again after that.

Soooo.......
