oh, yeah, I forgot to mention: on vacation, D23 said that inspite of her Dad's weirdness "I still think he's much better now towards you and towards all of us than he has been in years, and I mean since S13 (her brother) was a baby!" she was adamant about this, and said that he had even joked with her and carried on a conversation on the phone several times recently. That is a change, she used to say she "didnt know" or "couldnt tell" when I would ask, so for her to be so adamant about it unsolicited has to mean she sees a big change.
She also told me that her Dad told her once "way back when" that the A was something "he decided to do to make himself happy".................hhhmmmmm.....so what does that mean? Actually it sounds like typical mlc reasoning to me...but I did think at the time she said that how much it was NOT about me....
