Why do you think the old stuff has been plaguing you so much lately?

Do you get good resolutions normally when you bring it up?

Do you feel better afterwards?

I can answer those questions, for myself, and say sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Is there a way to mentally edit what you want to say so that you are not bringing up everything, but only the really, truly pertinent stuff?

Just a thought. I know that I would love to hash and rehash everything but I have learned that my H's tolerance for this is looooooooooow.
