I can see working on developing empathy (a good trait) but developing it towards a person who's behaving immaturely? Her husband is jealous of her because she's not a sourpuss like he is. However, if she shows empathy towards that, he will then morph into Mr. Wilson and become irritated with her for trying to understand something that she clearly doesn't.
