I believe that the attractiveness of make up sex is all in the involved parties ability to switch emotional gears and/or be able to integrate oppositional feelings into a coherent pattern. Being able to resolve negative feelings easily as well as the ability to put a positive spin on negative feelings can make a person more open to having sex as a resolution to a disagreement.
