<soapbox> I'm convinced that most kids diagnosed with it don't have it either, rather they are just suffering from a lack of discipline from parents who'd rather be their friends than be their parents. My wife's cousins kids are a prime example. They are out of control. Mom and doc say the kids have ADD, which becomes nothing more than an excuse for poor parenting. We had the kids for a month a while back while Mom underwent treatment for a very aggressive breast cancer. It took us about a week to get the kids under control, and then they behaved just like ours or any other 'normal' kid. It only took a few days back with their Mom and Dad before they went back to having "ADD". I put very very little stock in this whole ADD thing. Saw lots of "ADD" kids come through W's parents home (they were foster parents), and wouldn't you know it, every one of them shaped up if given a bit of loving discipline. </soapbox>
