Congratulations Jo!

You're amazing. Despite all the things you are active, the crap you are going through with Andy Pandy, and of course helping all of us out on here you finished the book. Incredible! Make sure you give us the 4-1-1 on the title and when it will be coming out.

Hi Jo:

Congratulations on finishing your book!

Cool beans! Excellent, Jo!

You are a very gifted writer, and what a story! Sometimes fiction just can't beat reality.

Now you can celebrate with all those GAL plans! (at least the fun ones ).

No Jo. You may be just starting a new chapter in your life hopefully where the living will be a little easier.

Congratulations.

Well everything's GREAT even though my babies and my H aren't here and this is the first time I haven't missed them when they've been away.

I haven't called H once. I will speak with dd's on Tuesday before they come home.

My book is now at 3 publishing firms as we speak, with 2 firms saying they are looking at the manuscript and 1 firm saying they are definitely interested and I am waiting till tomorrow to have more news.

I was up nearly all night last night, till 4am because I just couldn't sleep for the excitement and that was with NO coffee.

I've been dreaming of this since I was 7 years old and it seems as if I might finally hit it big time.
I've been fantasizing about the book launch and what to wear and taking dd1 with me on the autograph signing - do you think that's a bit premature?

Still hyper today and annoyed it's a Sunday. I'm being interviewed by the university tomorrow as part of a research programme so I can't go to bed that late again!

When I'm world famous and rolling in money because of H's D drama, he will be falling at my feet wanting to be part of it Of course, he'll have to make an appointment with my PR person before he could even see me

Right, now I'll just calm down and come back to reality.

Jo.

Whislt in your euphoric state may I suggest you sit down and prepare a "land mine list?" List out what could go wrong and what your response should be. Include possible questions and the answer you want to use. Take the time to interview other authors and learn their experience; what happened? how'd they handle it? Ask the publishing for the contact information of recent authors. "The will to prepare to win is not as important as the will to prepare to win." Lou Holtz

Don't go projecting on me, TAG This is classic displacement.

You feel awful (understandably) so you displace those feelings onto me. I'd gladly take on your down feelings if it meant you would feel better - except I feel too positive to do so.

My view is, if you think good things, good things happen to you. If I spent all my time worrying about what might happen, I would not enjoy just being in the moment. IF something goes wrong, I will handle it, until then I will assume everything will go great. I don't know any other authors, but I've done this before, just not on a big level.

Even JK Rowling had 8 rejection letters for 'Harry Potter' and look at her now!?

I take the same attitude to my H. He's a challenge, yes, and sometimes he treats me bad, but I will get there, I WILL.

Sometimes I get upset or in a bad mood - but don't we all? I want my life the way I want it and I will get want I want because I love myself and know I deserve it.

Don't listen to all the crap your X said, TAG, as soon as you believe you deserve to be happy, you will be.

Jo.
