I haven't had a lot of time to post but I was anxiously awaiting your return to the BB and am so glad you're back online. I second what others say - that you should get to the bottom of this health issue.
My H tends to be anxious about medical tests. He has had both an MRI and a CAT scan. He said the CAT scan was much easier and less claustrophobic than the MRI - you would not be enclosed in a tube for a CAT scan. Because of what we had heard about MRIs I went with him. I held his ankle his (feet were the only parts of him sticking out of the tube) the whole time and that made him feel a lot more relaxed.
I don't think you would find a CAT scan so difficult but ask your Dr what to expect.
