The phone rang and I answered thinking it was work. It was H, saying 'About time too, I've been phoning all morning!' It was weird because I was by the phone most of the time and it never rang once.
He asked me if I needed him to babysit Alisha so I can go on the TV. I would have done, but the journalist decided she didn't want to interview me after all so my trip to London was cancelled this weekend.
He said it was a good job I didn't book my train tickets.
He and DD2 arrived about half an hour after this call and he said instead of taking Alisha back to his place, he would just stop here and see her, as he had to go out later and didn't have stacks of time.
I said I am going out later and he asked where. I said to this religious meeting. He asked where so I told him where it was and what was happening for the evening.
He commented on my clothes and said
'You've got rather furry boots.'
I had on this new pair of boots which were imitation suede with a ring of grey fur round the middle and these 2 grey pom pom's on both boots - they are totally crazy and the pom pom's swing when I walk.
I grinned at him and said
'Yes,and they're not even leather!'
He smiled at me. He asked me what I've been doing and we discussed toddler group and my friend who visited and the saga with my photographs (I tried to get some pictures developed and when I went to collect them, they told me that the man and the van with all the films had disappeared and they had the police onto him. It could only happen to me - well, they located the man and the van so my photos are now with me).
I showed him and DD's no. 2 and 4 my pictures which were of all the dd's doing yoga at my house. DD4 then demonstrated to her dad how to do yoga by sticking her legs in the air This looked really funny as she's only 2.
I made H a coffee as he said he was cold and we chatted and looked at the photos with our dd's.
He then told me that EX-OW and bf are moving out soon! I shrieked out loud and squeezed his hand, and he laughed and said 'Don't be too excited, then.' Apparently EX-OW has borrowed some money from someone so she can now afford to move as it will be fairly shortly. Her and bf are looking for a place as bf's mother has hit the roof about them being together because of the age difference (ex-ow is 46, her bf is 24).
That's why bf always stopped round H's house, because he still lives with his mom and she used to go nuts if he took EX-OW back there. Now she's got money, they can get their own place!
I was literally jumping up and down on the settee with joy and my kids looked at me like I was nuts. I told H now we can have loads of 'dirty weekends' at his house
Anyway I had been upset previously, thinking of my baby and my drive as been flat since then, but then as soon as he said she was going, it went right back up again.
It must have had a similar effect on him, because right after I made that joke about dirty weekends, he got all kissy with me.
He kisses me in front of the kids now and doesn't care. He used to insist we keep it a secret.
We put a kid's film on for them and he grabbed me and just kind of pushed me over and jumped on me, LOL It was all very animal and not much like ML but I didn't care because I was so happy that EX-OW is finally going to leave that I was as 'animal' as him.
He did some new stuff he's not done before which surprised me. Oh, and something else which is rather funny, he asked me where the contraception was. Now, I've got this photocopier in my bedroom (for work - there's no where else to put it), and I said on the photocopier. He laughed an said 'just where you expect to find contraceptives' and then we both laughed at the freudian symbolism (i.e contraceptives on a photocopier, the ultimate reproduction machine).
Sorry if that's too much detail, I just thought it was funny
Afterwards, I got dd's some food and offered H some but he wasn't hungry. He sent some text messages to a friend while I sat with dd's eating their lunch. Then I made them chocolate flavoured popcorn (home made recipe).
We arranged for H to come round on Friday next week instead of Saturday (maybe for dinner, not sure yet) and then he had to go take dd's to woodcraft folk (It's a bit like scouts).
All in all, I feel happy, SHE'S leaving, I actually got my mood back (thank God, it was starting to worry me! ) and he's not even annoyed at me for crying last time I saw him.
