Yeah I guess you're right. I don't get to that level of frustration very often with my H. I either give up way before I hit that point, or he gives in.
Your friend's comment is hilarious. Some people just love being neurotic worrywarts, regardless of creed. I've never understood the idea that if you withhold information, a child will gravitate towards YOUR truth. That's just not true! Children deserve to make informed choices, just like adults. I'm working this out in my mind, see, cause I'm going to start homeschooling my daughter for kindergarten next year. She is NOT an easy person to teach so I'm going to need all the internal pep talks I can come up with.
