I agree HP....got to a GI doc as soon as you can. That doc wanted to believe he saved the day with his appendix find. Trust what you are feeling and don't stop til you get the right answers. Did a little search for you and came up with "pelvic floor dysfunction" and "interstitial cystitis." The hernia idea is a good one considering your mom's history.
I'll be back here on Mon....will keep my fingers crossed that you'll be feeling better.
And I will eventually finish the freakin' DVD for you ( be aware of its HDH/LDW slant...you may want to watch it yourself first).
