There's a local man here who is morbidly obese, and has decided to tackle his problems with obesity and depression by walking across America. So far he has walked from San Diego to Barstow. (Such a healthier approach to midlife crisis than most of our spouses took, eh?).
He has a wife and kids, and money is tight, so he can use financial support - but also emotional support and people to walk with him on different stages of his journey, and maybe provide him with a place to stay overnite.
Check out his web site and see if he'll be coming to your town this summer.
I've been AWOL from the bb, but I do check in once in a while. Two points you made hit close to home. First, the build up toward the explosion. Just what exactly do you think this is caused by? I see the same behavior. In my H's case, it is about a 3 week time span, unless there is an event that pushes it up faster.
Second, I saw most of that Dr. Phil show. Watched it with H. It amazed me that H commented, but didn't see how he started out the same way. ARGHHHH!!
Routines..... I see H imbedded in some routines.
Any insight is appreciated! Pattie
When you can't make a decision because you are torn between your heart and your head, listen to the half with the brain.

Mostly biochemical with my H, I think, although certainly if the housekeeping gets behind, that can set the ball rolling. It creeps up on me, I tend not to notice until it gets to the point where he is saying and doing outright irrational things.
Funny how they can't see themselves, isn't it? My brother dumped his third wife 2 months before my H dropped the bomb on me - but my H kept insisting he wasn't like my brother!!!! (Well, okay, he wasn't, because my H finally came back home, while my brother still has his head up his you-know-what).
One LBS' "getting into a groove" is another WAS' "stuck in a rut," eh?
On another note, I remember trying once to buy (not undies!) for W at VS, explaining that "she's about my height, etc." I always wondered what the saleslady thought about that.
Thanks,
K
