Well, I tried to nap but Alicia wasn't having a bar of it -she woke up screaming as soon as I tried. The poor thing is running a fever.

Knackered - you don't have that expression in the States? It means completely physically done in, tired, past it, exhausted etc.

Alicia is a pretty name. I hope she recovers soon. All the best.

Bulldog,

I'm actually an author (I write health books) and a counsellor. I run my own helpline for people who have been injured by allopathic medicine and I sell these books I wrote and other books written by other people.

I go on TV/radio and in newspapers ocassionally where I am either being interviewed by the press about what I do or they sometimes have me in interviews with dr's and immunology people.
Sometimes they put me on a chat show and tell me to argue with another person about medical issues (increases TV ratings) so I argue on camera for 5 minutes, then go home.

I was supposed to be on 'The Right Stuff' once, but H was taking me to court that day so I had to cancel, I was most annoyed!

Some of the people who ring my helpline are very distressed so I trained in counselling to deal with it and worked at Rape Crisis for 2 years (I've got counselling skills certificate, person-centred counselling certificate and dysfunctional family therapy certificate).

I've been in a couple of medical journals before as well and basically wanted to heighten my knowledge of something I already do by getting this immunology qualification.
I intend to go on and study pharmacology as well so I can learn more closely how drugs act with each other.

On a personal front, I am also writing a book about me and H and this situation. I know from my experience of the media, that people love sex and court hearings - especially if they are both together so I thought I would try to see the positives and write a best seller.

I tested my friends out with it and they were hooked, they can't wait to read more, so I must be on to a winner.

H isn't terribly thrilled with the idea but grudingly accepts it. He says the last time I had an idea for something, I ended up on TV and when I print this book, his sex life will be all over the news (his words), LOL.

I have to say, I see the funny side of this.

Thanks,

The only trouble is, people always ask if I named her after Alicia Keys and I didn't - I just really like the name.

She's really cute - blonde hair and big brown eyes and she normally never stops talking (a bit like me!) but she's totally wrecked now.

Jo,

You are so interesting and multi-faceted! I can see how helping us poor schlepps here comes so naturally to you. Thank God for you. You are truly an angel! You don't have wings, do you?

Thanks Lou for kind comments re grades,

Re the other post about sex 3 times a night, I think it gets better as you get older (more experience, less nerves etc).

I mean, it's tons better now than it was when I was 16 and I view it as the ultimate means of expressing love, so if my H didn't, I would think he didn't love me.

I can't imagine that I will get to 50 years old and suddenly not be bothered. As for your W's view that sex is a male need, I don't think that is true.

I think it's a human need to share and express love. I think the difference is, men tend to concentrate more on the physical sensation and women on the emotion connected with it and maybe your W sees it as a purely physical act which might explain why she sees it as a male need.
