My God, I'm so sorry to read this.
Please disregard what I wrote earlier.

You have my deepest compassion and sympathy. I really am so sorry to read about your difficulty in getting through the appointment.

Thanks...

How did she react to see you this way? Was she crying also?

I think she was crying - my eyes were shut, I couldn't open them, but her hand felt like she was crying, she kept stroking my hand to comfort me.

But she was being the strong one, because she saw me being weak. We trade roles, depending on who needs to be supported. She was listening very carefully, not just to the words, and gently, carefully asked questions, testing the water to see if I could deal with the questions, feeling her way...

I have to say that your last post just about made me break out in tears and that is very hard to do..I'm not one to cry easily.

Thanks for feeling what I was feeling. I'm glad it came through.

Your pain is palpable. I think a breather from work and perhaps a solitary vacation would do wonders for you. You really ought to consider it.

That's a good idea. I have to think about how I would do that. Our college daughter is coming for the weekend, and I have some big projects weighing down on me...
