Dear Honey,

Well, my weight dipped below 180 for the first time in easily 5 years. I know how it happened: eating fruits, shovelling snow and xc skiing, but what I don't understand is why my stomach isn't shrinking. It seems the rest of me is doing all the shrinking .

Blood pressure is rarely over 140/90 these days. One result (cause?) is that I'm much less tense over many things. W and I realize that we need to work together to keep the kids in line. One author I read said that the men are much more likely to escalate an argument than the woman. He's right (though in our case, W is much more likely to spark it.) I've made a point to try not to let things get out of hand, and so far it's working.

Our marriage is out of the ER, but still hospitalized. I can honestly say that lack of sex is no longer the biggest problem in my life (It was, in the sense that it preoccupied all my thoughts and energy.) No one thing has taken its place, but the thing I'm working on most is increasing energy, efficiency and happiness.
