Looking backward...but only to move forward TWO

Had a good date with h last night. He was at school all day (he is working SO hard on his paper even though he is on break!) and I had some errands in town so we met up. Went for drinks at one of the nicer bars in town.

It was relaxing and fun. H was brimming over with lovely words for me. Told me he was overflowing with love at one point and made a lovely toast to "the underrated Sage" which listed out some of my plusses. He also mentioneded how optimistic he is about 2005 -- said he thought the year would be wonderful for both of us. Other cute stuff, too, like he brought my glasses into town (I wear contacts) because he was worried that my eyes would be tired, etc. I have to admit that I was overwhelmed...got a bit teary eyed over the toast and his enthusiasm for me, for us. 2 years ago at this time neither one of us was sure we'd make it...now it seems like a wonderful, solid, buildable, partnership. It's amazing and scary at the same time!

I'm leaving work in about 30 minutes...my last day of the year! I'm around tomorrow and Sat. but then we're off to NYC until the 30th. So, with the exception of tomorrow I'll probably be off the boards for a bit.

So, even though I'll probably be back once or twice, let me tee up the best of holiday wishes to my BB friends. I'm enormously grateful for all of you who read, post, reply, encourage, support, whack (on occasion!), cheer on, remind, and keep on keeping on. You guys are AWESOME!!!

Here's to 2005 and all that it may bring.
