Hi dfb,

Now that the moving and hurricanes parts are over with, how's the M part coming along? Are you two still on schedule?

Hi Rob!

Yes, this month. Hard to believe, I figured by now I'd be striking out completely on my own with a new job. Funny how life changes in ways you don't expect. When I met you nearly a year ago (hard to believe it's been that long!), we both didn't expect the lives we have now, I am sure. I am really happy for you!

You are certainly right about that, dfb. A year ago I could not have envisioned the place I'm at today, and your own R with your "SO" was heading in a completely different direction as well. Let me say that I'm very happy for you too, in the way your sitch has been coming along. What a 180 he did, hmmm?

Hope your wedding goes smoothly and becomes even better than you can imagine. Do you have a honeymoon planned yet?

No honeymoon planned yet, hopefully around April. We could have done a wedding or nice honeymoon, but not both yet.

It's funny also...I'm a lot different than I was even less than a year ago. As much as I am really glad (obviously) with how everything turned out, I'd not hang in there so long again. Not that I'd ever get a divorce if I can fix a relationship - the last thing I want is another divorce. But I won't ever be part of a third party in a relationship - either it's me, or not.

If there is anything I wish I'd done - it's to have gotten my own life very, very quickly. I think that is very important. It took me over a year of evolving into a stronger person - and I'm trying to keep her. I am not as jealous of female friends of his - because if anything happens in the future, it would be his loss if our R ends.

Anyway, I love him a lot - I'm not a starry-eyed romantic, I think we've all been through too much to think like that anymore!

Happy January dfb,

Just a little bump......how have things been going lately? Would you say that your sitch has become a "success story"?

Hi Rob -

Well, I'm married - and happy, so that is a success. I promise to write an update hopefully this week.

Thanks. I got your email a few weeks ago and its just been so crazy around here, I'll try to get to that too!

You and H (doesn't that sound good?) are off to a real good start. Yes, let everyone know how it went.

I'm really happy for you....you deserve to have a great M and I wish the best for both of you!!

Rob
