IHJ: Glad you didn't get the puppy at a pet store. Most pet stores get their puppies from so-called puppy mills. My W and I worked in Boxer Rescue and got many of our dogs from these mills. So many mistreated, mishandled, unsocialized dogs...the females spend most of their lives in cages, either pregnant, or recovering. There are quite a few of these places in Missouri.
