Hi PAM!

You're still sounding good, girl! Ups and downs are to be expected...but compared to a year or 6 months ago these are mole-hills comparied to MOUNTAINS...even your e-mail to D was about 90% shorter and more to the point than it would have been then!

You're TOO right to drop the rope. Maybe D is just realizing how much work is involved in this whole process with the house and it's cutting into his "I'm sick, I need to lay down" time. (ooooh, that felt GOOD!)

Happy Birthday Breeze!!

Hi Sage,

I really enjoyed my first weekend at my house.

I didn't even check mail at PK this weekend. Probably run by there this evening.

B had a very nice birthday I think.

Hey Shiny,

Nice of you to drop by!!! D didn't answer my e-mail. So for now the kids and I just go merrily along here.

The fence guy was here yesterday and he has one side finished and the other side over half done! Yippee!!!

ROFLOL

Thank you for the laugh!!!

My boss thinks D is mad now because he didn't want the responsibility of a house and now I have moved out and he has the responsibility of a house again. This past year at his sister's has probably been pretty easy responsibility wise.

Good Morning LnL!!

I hope so!!! It was a nice weekend. You know when I was in the middle of limbo I couldn't see this future at all. But it isn't bad.

My neighbor yesterday said, "you have landed on your feet". I was discussing how J always lands on her feet. One of my friends was telling me J's new poodle is really doing well in the ring this year and I was saying she always lands on her feet.

I guess I have, because the shelties and I have a roof over our heads and almost a fence.

Yesterday at the grocery I bought cake and ice cream, birthday banner and the kids a few special treats.

Then met M for breakfast, we seem to be making a habit of Sunday morning breakfasts.

When I got home the guy was working on the fence and got a lot done yesterday.

Did a few straightening up things, then groomed the shelties.

My friend N stopped by for a while to wish B Happy Birthday, she has known her since she was a puppy when I first brought her home. M came over and then T one of G's friends came over with his camera. I put the 16 candle on the cake and M, N and I sat in front of it with them holding the banner and I had B, except she kept trying to duck under the banner and start on the cake!

Then N fed B some icing and T got some shots of her with the icing. He said some cute shots so cool.

N left and my mom and dad stopped by. So I asked T in the kitchen if he could get some shots of them for me. I had B sit with them.

M brought the cutest frame with dog bones around it and then N stopped back by much later and she brought B some McDonald's french fries which B absolutely loves!!!!!

She had already had cake and ice cream, all wonderful stuff for her stomach. But she seemed to thoroughly enjoy her day. She went out with T once when he went out to smoke and she went out with M when she was walking around the back yard. B trotted all around, thank goodness it was a good day for her.

T had brought a nice bottle of shiraz and he, M & I opened that later and had a glass and just kept chatting. It was such a nice relaxing day, I really enjoyed it.

Hi PIB,

No problem. Hope it helped. You have certainly helped me often enough!

Hey Pam - Sounds like a terrific weekend

It is so good to have the positive, constructive distraction of a new home, lots of things fell into place for us.

Hi Slowly,

I have really been enjoying my new home. It isn't PK, but it is nice and it kept us all together.

My fence isn't totally finished but it is all closed in now so the shelties got to spend some time yesterday evening in their yard!

It was such a nice evening last night that several people were out walking and I got to meet another neighbor. This seems to be a nice bunch of people here I hope the rest moving in on our street are nice as well.

Saw D yesterday at PK. It was during the middle of the afternoon. Startled him when I walked into the office where he was at.

Wished him Happy Birthday. Checked on fans and sprayed some stuff on the carpet.

He seemed ok, not hateful, not talkative, mostly just kept going through stuff on his desk, but talked a little.

I did tell him he was welcome to come over this evening for birthday cake, ice cream and shiraz, probably not all at the same time. He gave his usual no answer type of answer. I was curious to see what he would say as I figure he and J were going out for his birthday.

The divorce still bothers me but there are times now that I am glad I don't have to deal with his no answers, conflict avoidance and procrastination!!

But I do still miss the friendship we had.

I'm sure with more time that I will feel that loss less than I do right now.
