I really don't know what is up with D but I think now that I am pretty much out I am just going to drop the rope. He knows how to get ahold of me if he needs me.

SMART LADY!!! This could be a mantra for the next few days, right? When the urge to contact him strikes?

Hey Pam,

Great job on being able to drop the rope.

As my mom says, "It can't be more important to you than it is to them".

It sounds like PK is more important to you than it is to D.

I'm sure that as you work on your wonderful new home, decorations, unpacking, making it yours, PK will be less and less in your mind.

You are creating a wonderful, warm, sanctuary for you and the pups.

Keep up the good work!

Hugs.

Hi Sage,

I think I will keep it for a mantra.

Right now I don't have a desire to contact him at all!

I am glad yesterday is over, I think by next year it will be much better.

I haven't even been back in PK since Sunday night.

I had the van stuffed for that last load as I didn't want to make another trip, had already made 3 or 4. FB didn't think there was any place for him to go to get in, the others were already in.

I told him, he better find a spot as this is the 'last train out of here'!

He got in, and as I was walking around to the drivers side I told them all I'm driving! My seat was the only one that was really clear so they all wanted it.

Hi PIB,

I do think PK is more important to me than it is to D; but you are right as I am focusing on unpacking and organizing my new house, the pain of leaving PK is lessening. I still drive by it on my way to work and I should probably run in tonight if my neighbor takes me to pick up my car. Just to see how the carpet is doing and that the fans are still running ok.

Now the shelties just need to keep getting used to the noises at the new house! But I got their crates in this morning and they are starting to figure the rooms and a routine out just a bit.

We'll get it together.

When do you think you'll have the problem corrected?

This is a whole e-mail from D in response to one I sent him on Sunday about the carpet being wet and that I had put fans on it.

I am not sure what he is asking. Sent him one back that if he was asking when carpet would be dry I really have no idea how long that will take. I do think I will run in tonight and check on the carpet and the fans just to see how it is coming along. This will be my first trip back in since leaving Sunday night.

I think his e-mail sounds rather pissy but I am working to not take it personally and just let it slide. I gave him that short response and won't contact him again unless he contacts me. He normally doesn't have to contact me for info as I keep him updated, but since I am out now I don't feel that is my responsibility any longer. If he had asked me to do so nicely I would have continued but he seems to prefer the no contact and I do believe I can finally do that!!!!

YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!! I AM getting better!!!!!!

Do you suppose when you start forgetting your AD that means it is time to start stepping off of it? After what happened to me before I was almost fanatic about making sure to take it, now it seems I keep forgetting!

I forgot it Saturday and Sunday nights. Took it Monday morning and forgot again this morning. Think I will look up what the doctor said to do to start stepping it down and start that on Oct. 1.

It might just be because I caught up on some rest yesterday or that I don't have to stop at PK and move stuff, that I got some things organized in the new house this morning or that PMS tea I FINALLY tried this morning. Maybe a combination!!

But I feel pretty good, just restless, ready to be out of here doing something else!
