How about just insisting that she recognizes that your feelings are just as important as her bodily comfort at the moment.

This is good, Mojo. And a great analogy to the kid sitting on your lap, too.

Ooh, another good one. Not that merely saying, "too hot" is necessarily rude, but it's definitely not very loving.

Sometimes, if you love someone, you have to put up with a bit of discomfort.

Heapmom - have you looked into purchasing those light banks that are supposed to treat SAD? I'm sure a quick search on Google would offer many brands for sale.

Actually, my wife and I were just saying the other day that with all of the RAIN and HURRICANES we've had this summer in Florida, we needed to get some of these!!!

Choc., who's still wondering why in the WORLD they have the nerve to call this "The Sunshine State"

My brother lives in Orlando. I told him it was the wrath of God because of the 2000 election debacle. He doesn't talk to me very much anymore.

LOL, Hairdog. Actually, I (a proud conservative, but FIRMLY in touch with my feminine side...) voted Libertarian in the last election, instead of my usual "R" vote. My teenaged daughter thought I was nuts, and I calmly explained to her the importance of "voting your conscience," and how sometimes a voter feels like they need to "send a message" (in my case, about my want of "smaller government") even if they think the candidate doesn't have a chance.

Well, when the disputed vote count kept narrowing, she kept reminding me of my vote (she knew I didn't like Gore), and at one point said "Daddy, it's going to come down to ONE VOTE, and it's going to be YOURS!"

Choc., one of those wacky libertarians tilting at the political windmills...

H: But I really WANT to touch you? No, she'd just say, too bad...it's too hot,

Could you turn up the AC? Maybe kiss her with an ice cube in your mouth? Ask her where she is not hot? Just some thoughts.

Choc, at least in my state (RI) my R vote doesn't count for squat, so I have no reservations about voting my heart (Libertarian).

My W is always "too hot" in bed, so we rarely get close for more than a minute or two. I'm thinking that maybe we'll keep the summer comforter on the bed this winter so she's more ice cold. Then I can warm her up.

My W sleeps with clothes on because she insists that she gets too hot when she sleeps naked. I have never been able to figure THAT out. And how am I supposed to spoon/snuggle if she's always hot?

Wish my H would even sleep in the same damn bed as me

Yeah, they're fairly easy to find here, there's even a cafe in Helsinki lit with them. H is convinced it's 'vodoo' medicine (strange since he knows the reason behind it), but maybe I will just go and get one - for myself even, if he doesn't use it.
