That's very similar to something W makes that comes from her old vegetarian cookbook:

Savory Cheese and Onion Pie

Basic shortcrust pastry for 10" pie
10 oz. cheese: 1/2 Swiss & 1/2 Gruyere
2 Tbs. flour
2 large onions
4 Tbs. butter
1 tsp. chopped basil
2 large tomatoes, sliced
2 large eggs
3/4 cup cream

Prep crust, line a 10" pie dish with it and chill.

Grate chese and toss with flower.

Melt butter in large skillet. Slice onions & saute gently in butter till brown, ~1/2 hr. Spread 1/3 of cheese over bottom of pie dish, then spread onions over cheese. Saute tomatoe slices in remaining butter with basil on top for just a minute or two. Layer the tomatoe slices on top of onions, cover with the rest of the cheese.

Beat eggs with the cream and pour over the cheese. Sprinkle with nutmeg if you like. Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for 35-40 min. or until top is nicely brown.

This crap is really good!

I know I have psychological problems concerning money because my Mom was a manic-depressive spendaholic and my Dad was a fiscal conservative who worked for the IRS. Going to the mall is the equivalent of going on a drinking binge to me. This causes me needless suffering. For instance, I was too cheap to buy a double-stroller when my D was born, so I spent 2 years pushing my S in a stroller and carrying my D in a backpack.

Yet another way in which you and your H are vastly different. It kind of explains the different attitudes you and he have over the sweating in the car issue. He probably gets irked that you don't treat his stuff better, and your not even conscious of it.

I could pretty easily get a job paying 4x what I make as a rare book dealer, but I have no motivation.

Mojo,

Is that what you do for a living, dealing used books?

Yes. It's a good match for me in terms of interest because I love books and it's a good match for me in terms of personality because I set my own hours and I like the hunter/gatherer/gambler mode of earning a living. I specialize in obscure rather than antiquarian books. If you are interested in the history of Indiana's metal bridges or you are in need of a Chabacano-English-Spanish dictionary, I will give you a special deal .

Uh, no.

But if you have a line on any graduate level math texts, I would be very interested. Please email me at SolidMech03@yahoo.com if you have anything like this. Also, math for physicists/engineers type of texts.

Regards,
