Chrome & LFL,

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the previews for that episode...how in the heck can you sleep through that? Even way back when...when I wasn't interested in sex, I wouldn't have been able to sleep through someone messing with me like that...and I can be a very heavy sleeper. I'm not saying someone couldn't possibly sleep through that, I'm just thinking its very unlikely.

Does anyone here know of anyone who ever has slept through it? I mean, I've heard of people falling asleep during (usually exhaustion or alcohol induced) but never completely sleeping through it...even Hairdoggies wife woke up while he was stimulating her. Was this woman on medication or something?

Hairy,
How does your wife react to television in general?

I ask because I can't watch it without feeling emotionally overwhelmed. I don't watch much but I especially avoid scary or gory stuff.
Anyway, my point is that I would have come to bed hot under the collar as well. Now whether that's due to my upbringing or being a foofighter or full of baloney, I don't know. But I get much too involved in TV when I watch it. It's really a sensory thing...almost like I start living what I see. I avoid going to the movie theater altogether for this reason. Too stimulating and overwhelming. I read Corri's Indigo Adult description with interest and much of it applied, with the glaring exception of Einstein-like-smarts. LOL

Anyway, could your wife have some of these tendencies?

Ultimately, it is up to her to grow up a little and stop blaming everyone else for her reactions, but I thought it might help you in the meantime to know that her violent reactions may have more to do with what she watches than what you've done.

Finally, something to REALLY crack you up:

I actually turned down MrH for sex a couple weeks ago because..............are you ready for this...........wait for it...........I got too wound up watching Masterpiece Theater.

Yes indeed that's right.

I told ya that I avoid television for a reason!

Then you definitely want to stay away from those virtual reality games.....ummm, even/especially if they make one where you can boink the characters

HP: It's hard to say how she reacts to tv, because it just depends on the type of show. And let me clarify, she wasn't coming up to bed in an angry mood. I think she just wanted to see if I was still sorry about the horrible thing I did.

And LFL, you are not weird in thinking that it might be "kinda hot" to be awakened this way. Situations and people differ, but I have heard from several women that they would like this sort of thing.

But not MsHdog.

I think it's hot but I want to say, out of respect for Aquarian, that it's one thing to have an open agreement to touch during sleep (which H and I have) and quite another to have your H violating you while you sleep when you've explicitly told him that it's NOT okay.

Thank you Honey! Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome back.

Corri: Thanks for the link, that WAS insightful and thought provoking for sure. What Mariposa said made a lot of sense to me.

Hairy: Yep, 'tis me. We are still together, still sharing the bed. The hypnosis option was mentioned by a friend who swears it helped her move on from painful events in her past. I've got the business card, just haven't dialed the number. I was thinking of checking it out to see if she can "soften" past memories for me in some way - not "cure" my libido.

SD: Awwww, thank you so much! I've read a few of your latest posts and my heart aches for you. I'm so sorry. Quite honestly SD, your pain is what made me consider setting my H free - because I can't stand the thought of hurting someone I love. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{SD}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Chrome: I believe it's possible to impregnate a sleeping woman. What some people don't seem to understand is this sexual contact can be conducted in a very calming, quiet manner so that the sleeper doesn't necessarily wake up. It's not hot sex - it's sneaky. Top it off with a very deep sleeper (exhausted from chasing 2 preschoolers all day) and it's definitely possible.

LFL: Sure, I used to feel the same way. I was so flattered that he just couldn't keep his hands off, etc. But... when it happens time after time, after you've said no, when you're menstruating, when you need a shower, ... it's not flattering at all.

MrsGGB used to tell our friends all the time that she had nothing to do with her pregnancies...that she was asleep . She didn't know how much that hurt until I said something last fall about it. thankfully, she's stopped that. It's like she didn't want people to think she sullied herself by submitting to sex.

"In fact, I think if I am in a loving R/M with someone that it would be kind of hot to be woken up that way."

Ditto!

"But I'm a rare bird."

No, you're a freak of nature.

I guess its like those women who didn't know they were pregnant. I can't imagine it, but I guess if they say so, it's possible. However, I also know people that have been abducted by UFOs and saw Elvis at Denny's the other day.

I understand. I hope you don't take offense at my light-hearted tone. It is a defense-mechanism of sorts for me, corny humor. I can appreciate how if you made it clear to your H that you didn't want to be constantly awakened or toyed with while asleep that it would be a problem. Believe me, I would never dream of doing that to my W, as I know she would NOT like it at all. In fact, of the few times we ML and she didn't O, it was mostly in the morning.

Again, hope there was no offense. Nice to meet you.
