H's damnable affair has been going on for a little over a year now. Does anyone ever make it through (stay married) an A that lasts that long?

H has been telling me it's "dying off", "in it's death throes" for 6 months now....Is it unusual for it to take this long?

"They" have broken up at least 1x/month since December....when people in affairs start to fight like that, does it ususally end?
