OK, OK. Well, I'll tell you what I hadn't thought of doing, which was to powerwash my house. Thanks, Totally (and thanks for being here & SO good to see you!). (Thank you loyal NSN and Sun and Wonder for the big hugs. I love hugs.) Totally, you do have a charming way of making it sound like a worthwhile activity. Who'd have thunk it? It wasn't on my list of prescribed activities, to be sure. As for what I am doing, I'm exercising, getting enough sleep, trying to stay in the present moment, talking to and spending time with friends, doing the exercises in the The Journey From Heartbreak to Connection book, which I'm finding really helpful. Obviously I have LOTS of grief (& fear, & anger) to work through, with all these losses of the past year. But I'm trying to sit with uncomfortable feelings and accept them, rather than run from them. I'm also trying to be open to accepting invitations to do new things with new people. Tonight I'm going to another party where I only know two people, but it sounds like it could be fun. It's also a clothes swap, and we drink wine and eat homemade peach pie. Nothin' wrong with that!
Azure, The caps are gone. Now worries. You have things under control. Keep up the exercise. The party sounds great. I feel better. Ron

First, what is a clothes swap? Homemade peach pie mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. My momma used to make homemade fried pies, peach, and chocolate for me .
I saw the Chodron book, start where you are, at the bookstore, didn't get it though. I have too many books right now. How is the musician guy doing? When exactly is your b day (he he he he)
I am glad to hear that you are not too deep in your cave. (I typed Depp, must be thinking of Johnny ) Have you gone to see what the bleep yet? Hurry, I want to discuss it with you.
I am thinking of you.

Hi Azure, You are doing good things in a tough year and a tough month (coming up). Do tell us about the clothes swap--get anything cool? Speaking of new friends, I'll definitely be looking for someone to help me stay "grey" with H but "bright" otherwise.....let's plan something for when I get back, okay?

This is the KEY!!!!
I have been where you are and I found that facing my feelings "head on" was the best (and fastest...) way to deal with them!!
BTW, this is how we differ from the WAS....they never face these feelings....they just bury them and act like all is well! In the end, you know you will be the one who is better off emotionally!!
Okay, so what IS a clothes swap??!
Happiness is like a butterfly: the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder.... (thoreau)
Azure, I'd swap some clothes with you, but I don't think they would fit. Ron
