I like arfing - as long as I know that you'll also speak up if I step out of line. Betsey's analogy with regards to the jokes is a good one, since my own pathway is also lined with the corpses of victims of my teasings. It took me a while to learn that my acerbic wit could at times seem not only not witty, but downright hurtful to others. So I try to be more careful, sometimes with more, sometimes with less success.
