Sun, that's a tall order for the conflict avoiders... but a good one, IMO. I'm finding that it alleviates a lot of tension just to be upfront about things-- with ourselves, most importantly. Then we can do it more easily with others. I bet you're right that the GF is confusing things a bit. (I dare say they are confused enough to begin with...)
