Having only been through the whole searching for a home thing twice myself I can't speak as an authority but note that I did find things to work a whole lot better when I did some leg work myself.
There is no reason why you can't or shouldn't keep an eye on new listings "just in case" and possibly even contact the listing realtor to have THEM answer any of your questions about a specific listing (hey maybe that way you'd find a house with out the help of your realtor and she wouldn't make any money off you) if/when you hear back about the listing you've already bid on that would be the time to actively persue the new or other listings.
Telling your realtor about them now makes it sound like you may not be fully commited to the offer you've made on THIS one and could back out..thus causing her to have to again search for a new one with you and begin the whole bidding proccess again. (just assuming what she may be assuming).
