Pam, That first house looks like it has lots o decorating possibilities. I's paint the ceiling white/like,and paint the paneling a light color. Keep the wood around the china cabinet wood.

Well, the first house is possible doable if they are planning to drop the price of it.
I might could stretch and do that but I promised myself I wanted to not spend all of my income on a house payment because I want to be able to do some other stuff in my life.
I like the trees around. I hope I can get one with some trees. That was one of the things I love about the house I am in, the driveway is lined on one side with Norway spruce.
In the winter I have a Christmas card outside when it snows.
