I so appreciate updates from folks, so I figure I’m kind of due as well. lol
So I’m sitting in a hospital waiting on an update regarding my Mom. A year ago, almost to the day my Dad passed away. So, pretty strange sitting here.
An update. Let’s see.
Christmas was excellent! The kids were over for four days. The twins grandson are so adorable. And were well spoiled by grandpa.
The yearly singalong was loads of fun. The piano and our voices got quite the workout.
All the holiday festivities my Mom attended too.
I’ve been shovelling and clearing lots of snow!
I have my Mom over for supper and some shows pretty much every night. Sometimes she cooks supper and we eat at her place. It’s nice reliving the old childhood memories familiar home cooking conjures up.
Both dogs are still running around. Be it slow for the older one. She’s a 15 year old shepherd. That’s ok, I’m slower too. Her and I walk down the lane at the same speed.
Other than that, I watch some movies/shows, play some video games, read books, and working on the remaining rooms to finish in the house.
As for XW. It’s 8 1/2 years post BD and she is still running. I heard she quit her latest job. Again. That’s around 25 jobs she’s quit.
She has poor relationships with three of our four kids, and nonexistent with the fourth and grandkids. Much like her Mom (and Dad) was/is.
I hear absolutely nothing from her. She certainly was a vanisher. The few rare occasions I’ve seen her around town she looked upset and angry.
Poor gal is a very lost soul.
