Ok good feedback. I logged on just now to seek some input.

MIL just came and picked up youngest S for them to spend some time together. MIL asked how I’m doing what I was up to. I let her know I was hanging out with friends and doing well. She said, “You are welcome to come over.”

I thanked her for the invitation and said see you later.

I considered sending MIL a text message letting her know I’m available for support and for her to let me know if there’s anything she needs. In my mind I’m wondering if she wants me to come over to help with anything or if she has any questions about S’s special needs.
I have resisted sending such a text however because MIL already knows I am willing to provide support. And she knows she can reach out to me if she has any questions or concerns.

I actually haven’t gone over there in months now. I think I’ve talked myself through this one. DBing exams I don’t justify a reason to reach out to MIL unnecessarily.
