Last time I looked it was a free country, we all have reasons for choosing our names here.
The reason some people here do not choose their given name is most likely they want their life to stay private~anonymity.
We shouldn't judge a book by it's cover or someone by the name they choose. I think it is creative to choose a different name here. It gives us a new identity.
Sure there are some strange names here, I agree. but it is an individual thing, isn't it?
I think the question asked should have been why did you choose the name you picked for on this BB. Now the responses so far have been interesting!
I picked mine because I wanted to project that I'm all right. Although through this journey there have been MANY times that I'm NOT all right!

So anyone out there reading this thread and looking at the name they chose here. Think of WHY you choose it and decide if it no longer fits. I know I will still be all right, but I really don't know if anyone would recognize me if I changed my name.
I know true movies and books sometimes change their names to protect the innocent. I believe this is our right to do so.
