Hellllloooooooooo (man, that's a loud echo. need to get some carpeting)

Here I am at the new digs ....

Doing the Italian thing for new homes: bringing a loaf of bread, olive oil, salt, a candle, honey ...

Here are 15 traditional housewarming gifts and their symbolic meaning. I wish these for all of you:

Bread. Meaning: “May this house never know hunger.”
Wine. Meaning: “May you always have joy and never go thirsty.”
Wood. Meaning: “May your home have stability, harmony, and peace.”
Broom. Meaning: “May your house always be clean and free of evil spirits.”
Coal. Meaning: “May you always be warm.”
Honey. Meaning: “May you always enjoy the sweetness of life.”
Bluebird. Meaning: “May you have happiness and good luck.”
Knives. Meaning: “May always be protected from intruders.”
Sugar. Meaning: “May your life be filled with sweetness.”
Rice. Meaning: “May the love in your home multiply.”
Olive Oil. Meaning: “May you be blessed with health and well-being.”
Plants. Meaning: “May your home always be filled with life.”
Salt & Herbs. Meaning: “May there always be flavor and spice in your life.”
Candle. Meaning: “May you always have light through the darkest times.”
Coin. Meaning: “May you dwell in good fortune.”

So out of curiosity is the edit button working on this thread or the entire forum?
It has had a time limit in the past too. ?

I'm using Chrome as a browser

Edit button works in Newcomers and MLC

Edit button does not work (never has to my knowledge) in Surviving, not that it matters if that's going away.

I think it's a setting per section rather than universal right now.

Welcome bttrfly and R2C! This is a work in progress and any "glitches" that you discover along the way, please let us know.

I saw this quote by an "unknown" this morning and thought of all of us and how we talk about looking back in the rearview mirror.

"There is no reason to look back when you have so much to look forward to."

BTW, thank you for testing some of the functions for us. The testing helps a great deal in trying to fix those issues that have lingered for quite some time.

The reason you look back is to ensure you dont repeat stuff.. So, its a double edged sword.

No news is good news?
I think the forum needs to get more people on the forum, via word of mouth..
This is a rare place for people, as it is has some exceptional experience. And the Author of DBs books has given the marriage world a gift, that many dont know about.

It's quiet right now because people are working behind the scenes to get the updates done as quickly as possible. Also, some posters are may be waiting to see how all of the changes shake out.

I have passed out many copies of the book IRL as I meet LBS's.

Been a long time since I've been here, Rock. Hope you are well. Lots new, but nothing specific I feel like posting about. I'm doing well. Son is doing well. My cat and dog have both passed on, sadly, and I'm not ready for new pets. My new job has 3 dogs in the office, so I will get my fix 5 days a week, happily, but I miss my fur babies. I know that when I can listen to Chris Stapleton's Maggie's Song without choking up or bawling like a baby it will be time for a new furry friend.

I guess I feel it is important to say something to people on the "other side" of the big D. 10 years out, here's some quick thoughts:

1. You will never really know if or how much you've healed in terms of relationships until you get into the next one.

2. Divorce is the gift that keeps on giving. There are so many layers to this loss. Doesn't mean one can't heal, process and prosper. Just means that sometimes something unexpected might pop across your bow that you have to deal with.

3. There will inevitably come a time when each of us feels deep gratitude to the ex for leaving.

That's all I got!
