Personally… I’m really glad I was raised in a different place than you. Would hate to be so jaded and distrusting. I worked in media for a number or years. Met a lot of people who did as well. Very trustworthy, upstanding people trying to make a difference in their own way… as was I. Decided it didn’t pay well enough though so I went back to school and got two more degrees before finally landing in mental health. Look… I get there are some corrupt people out there. You can find them in any profession and walk of life. There are also some really, really amazing, honourable and brilliant people who have devoted their lives to service of others in different forms. I’ve met and worked with some politicians who are as well. Painting everyone with the same brush is a mistake Core and kind of explains your depression and cynicism.
I'm not saying its all policians or media but it is alot of the ones at the top. Its the nature of things that they corrupt and something new comes along which many times end up with the same fate.
I like the positive vibes in your reply. It is hard for me to see some of the positives when I see so many negatives. I'd love a break from it. I really just want to be left alone, I don't want to be preached to at work, from the school, from TV, on the radio, in music, in the mail. To me pushing this current culture is like atheists constantly having a mormon at their door, on Tv, mailing them..etc. and dont get me wrong, the modern culture isn't all bad but shoving it down our throats and being extreme is too much.
