Long Covid is DEFINITELY real! I’ve treated several patients and have followed an online group of long Covid patients for a year and a half. And even in the absence of true Long Covid, those who have had Covid - even mild cases - have an increased risk of heart attack, stroke, or blood clots over the next year. Recent studies have proven this.
My first long Covid case was a perfectly healthy 35 year old woman who started with just a flu-like outpatient case. She ended up being completely disabled for a year, too fatigued and cognitively impaired to even care for her own children, they had to move in with her folks. She couldn’t work for over a year. She then worked part time for six months and could only return to full time work after 21 months. But even then, when she returned from work she was so exhausted that her H had to do everything in the evenings.
