AWESOME! He's been there 2.5 days and he's already written a response to a motion (or some such thing) -- looks like he's going to have a tremendous amount of responsibility!

I think I'm a bottomless pit for Love Languages...I've always thought mine were "words of affirmation" and "physical touch" with a bit (ok, not small!) of "quality time" thrown in! Now I have to add "acts of service"...got home from school last night and found a plate of various little mini-sandwiches with a note that said "snacks 4 u" from h. Now mind you, HE had had HIS first night of school, too, so it wasn't as though he was hanging out with a ton of time on his hands!
It just felt SO thoughtful and special to me! (+++++)
Other good stuff...sat with me on the couch while we watched "The Sopranos", lots of good interaction, etc. Told me a bunch about his day, asked awesome questions about mine...
