. There are times when I just want to tell all my friends IRL about all this to get it off my chest, but I still don’t think it’s the right time yet. When I think about it I don’t feel ashamed like I used to a little, mainly just “ugh I wouldn’t want to deal with telling the story 10 times or answering a bunch of questions about my M”. But sometimes it does get a bit annoying when friends ask me innocent Qs about H and small talk involving H.....I don’t like to pretend everything is fine but I do still. Anyways.....so it is definitely nice to come here to talk and get feedback. My virtual people.
Ugh; I feel the same way. Sometimes I just want to give more friends a heads up but don’t want the pity party. It is annoying when they think everything is normal with the M and try to plans things in advance, ask questions, yet you’re in the mindset of taking things day by day and not sure how your future will look. When they’re complaining about their H not taking out the trash often enough and you’re worried about your H breaking up your family and changing your kid’s life. So frustrating.
I’ve been following along with your story and just wanted to say I think you’re doing an excellent job and handling things with a lot of grace. Sorry we’re in this situation together with our H. And thank you for your comments on my feed as well!

Wooba, we ran out of flour and I ordered more but it doesn't come until next week! In the meantime my daughter and I have been experimenting with flourless baking -- we made creme brulee the other night. yum!
I also know exactly what you mean about friends IRL and the difficulty in communicating with them about what is happening. I have told some of my friends that H is going through some sort of MLC and one friend knows everything (he doesn't know I've told her). Finding one person to be honest with who isn't going to be judgy was really helpful for me. She also had a cheating H (now ex) and so understood exactly what I was going through, plus knows H really well so could give advice in ways that others can't, really. If you can find that one person I totally recommend it, even if you keep up the smiling front with the rest.
